Golf Day for Forest of Dean Hospice 24 April 2014

From organiser Jenny Roberts.

DAVE ROBERTS MEMORIAL CHARITY GOLF DAY 25 April 2014
Supported by John Freeman of Forest Products

Over the last ten years the Dave Roberts Charity Golf Day has raised many thousands of pounds for charities benefiting those in our local community, including Gloucestershire Royal Hospital Children’s Centre and the Breast Cancer Clinic in Cheltenham and we would like to say a ‘huge’ thank you to all those golfers who have supported us over this time.

Our main beneficiary over the last five years has been the Great Oaks Dean Forest Hospice, and once again the Dave Roberts Memorial Charity Golf Day, which is being held at Forest Hills Golf Club in Coleford on Friday 25th April 2014, will donate all proceeds raised on the day to this very special cause.

For those not aware, ‘Great Oaks’ was built with money donated by the local community and is mainly funded by monies raised in their charity shops, donations and fundraising events such as the golf day.  The support given to those with a life limiting illness together with their families is outstanding.  All services offered by the hospice are free.

Teams will comprise of four players and there will be trophies for both individuals and teams.  The cost per team is £144.00 (discount for Forest Hills GC Members) and includes coffee on arrival, 18 holes of golf and a two-course carvery meal. Format for the day will be 4 ball with the best two scores to count from the four players on each hole.  The day will be played to Stableford rules with the men’s maximum handicap as 24 and the ladies maximum handicap as 36.

If you would like to join us on our very special golf day and help to support this wonderful establishment to continue their excellent work please download and fill in the form on Forest Hills Golf Clubs website
